In Bern, Switzerland, twenty-eight peace educators, trainers, leaders, peace activists, and youth workers from thirteen countries gathered to strengthen and expand their peace education initiatives. The program focused on deepening their understanding of peace concepts through interactive workshops, meaningful discussions, and explorations of current trends and emerging approaches in the field.

As part of this gathering, Waves to Home facilitated the Stories We Tell Ourselves workshop. Through guided reflection and narrative exploration, participants connected with the personal stories that shape their identities as educators and advocates. The session highlighted how storytelling can serve as a powerful tool for empathy, understanding, and transformative peacebuilding.

This space allowed young leaders to reconnect with their purpose, learn from one another, and integrate the power of personal narrative into their ongoing work for peace.
