A bride to be in the midst of war in Lebanon

Because we are people of faith, with a doctrine of our own, we remain steadfast, knowing that God will never forsake us. We may feel like we’re barely surviving, constantly fearful for ourselves, our families, our future, our country, and our friends. But there is always something that lifts us up and helps us carry on with a positive outlook. Indeed, with every hardship, there comes ease.

This is not the first time this has happened in Lebanon. Our grandparents endured hardships too, yet they remained strong. They persevered so they could be here for us and teach us what true strength and faith look like.

At this moment, I’m supposed to be getting married, preparing my home, and managing my duties and responsibilities. Despite everything that has come upon us, our plans and our lives must go on.

We are the sons and daughters of today, blessed in countless ways. As long as we have our health, let us live every moment fully. When fear threatens to take over, we will cast it aside and remind ourselves that no one can escape their destiny and that we are still here.
